Hello my sweet friends. Oh my! I got such an inspiration, I almost forgot to photograph her beginnings. It all started with this pair of socks. Well.. one sock. I love these socks. Not only are they Stripped, they are Blue. What's better than Blue strips. So fun. I just couldn't bring myself to toss the poor lonely thing. It was so pretty and soft. Then I saw it.. the Yarn! Oh this yarn fascinated me from the moment I saw it. I found it at a local thrift...St. Vincent's De Paul. A wonderful little thrift here in North Idaho. There sat this wonderful amazing ball of yarn. That's when I knew i had to make a sweet soul adorned with such cute materials. I sketched Soxy on a piece of muslin. I kept her arms the same material but decided to go with this really neat crackle light yellow for her legs.

Look at this AMAZING hair. The yarn turned out perfect. The blend of blue and white ribbons made for a perfect flowing mane.

I wanted Soxy to be more movable this time so I under stuffed her legs at the joints to give her a little more flexibility and stitched her elbows. I attached her arms with two multicolored brown/tan buttons.

The first thing I made Soxy out of the sock was her own pair of leggings. OMG - I loved them!

Look at her just showing them off - I just imagine the smirk on that little face. Sassy Soxy

Next I began to work on her dress. This was more challenging. Soxy was a very long torso soul so I needed to have a nice fit. I added a fluffy ruffle to the dress bottom.

Then I had just enough to make Soxy some arm warmers to match.

Lastly I added a couple little details... A lacy accent with a few matching ribbons flowing down and shoulder straps for her dress, with two white buttons at the top. BUTTONS!

I
decided to leave Soxy's face blank. I kept imagining so many expressions. Especially a sassy little grin. I left that to the imagination.... So here she be... Our sassy little Soxy Blue!
